And was that your first time driving on a track ever? When you are new you use the brakes a lot more than you should. Most new drivers ride the brakes vs a quick stop which creates a lot more heat than needed. Hawk HP pads are good for a street pad and that is about it. If that is your more "aggressive pad" then no wonder you melted your lesser pads on the track. Hawk HT10 (600 more degrees before they become ineffective) would be the minimum pad I would run on the track.
